- Session ID: S02
- Format: Community day
- Where: North York Central Library, 5120 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON M2N 5N9
- Moderator: Ryan Kelln, Innovator in Residence, Applied AI

## When and how to register

- Saturday, December 12, 2026, Times to be confirmed (upcoming) (A full day of building. Doors and finish times are still being confirmed with the library, and listing and registration are to come. Watch tpl.ca/airesident.)

Registration is through the library. Ask the person before registering them. Availability can change, so treat the library's event page as the authority.

## About this session

Our community hackathon. Teams pick a local problem, design a small and responsible AI tool or workflow to help with it, build a prototype, and show everyone what they made. You do not need to code: teams need researchers, designers and storytellers as much as builders, and everyone tests the work. Mentors help all day. The challenge briefs come from problems neighbours brought to the library this fall. Bring your own computer.
